ABOUT THE ARTIST

Chris is a freelance illustrator and graphic artist based in north Queensland.
His 23 years experience working in the rough and tumble newspaper business has proven invaluable when helping first time authors visualise their ideas from concept through to pre-press.
Chris has taught Cartooning to children with special needs, Drawing and Screen Printing as part of drug rehabilitation programs, and Core Drawing at adult university level, as well as presented numerous weekend workshops in rural areas designed for budding artists of all ages.
His science-fiction comic, Elysian Fields, serialised in Australian anthology magazine Dee Vee, won a prestigious Australian Black & White Artists Stanley Award for Media Art, Adventure Illustrated Strip Artist of the Year.

He also has many local and national advertising awards to his credit from his time with Newsltd.
An avid fitness fanatic, Chris offsets long hours slaving over a hot drawing desk by lifting heavy things and is a passionate scuba diver.
